Charity of the Year

Highland Business Women supports and raises funds for a chosen charity each year.  Our aim is to work closely with the chosen charity, raising awareness of its cause and promoting any ongoing projects or campaigns.

Our Charity of the Year is selected each year in January by our members. Applications to be our Charity of the Year for 2024 are now closed.

For any further enquiries and questions please email charity@hbw.scot

We proactively raise funds for the chosen charity at raffles at each of our events, as well as at our annual Highland Business Women Awards Dinner in August.

We raised:

£4,800 in 2023 for Calman Trust

£6,000 in 2021/22 for Mikeysline

£4,500 in 2020 for Fèis Rois

£5,300 in 2019 for The Oxygen Works

£4,000 in 2018 for The Elsie Normington Foundation’s Haven Project

HALO-Highland Action for Little Ones is on a mission to uplift and empower disadvantaged children and low-income families in the Highlands. Dedicated to making a positive impact, HALO provides crucial support by supplying essential items, aiming to alleviate financial hardship and promote stability. By fostering a community of support, HALO works closely with charitable organizations and social services to reach those in need.

The organization envisions a brighter future, one essential at a time, creating a Highlands community with equal opportunities and tools for a better life. Serving the entire region, HALO provides clothing, shoes, nappies, baby equipment, and school supplies, ensuring every child feels valued and equipped to overcome challenges.
